Every spring, we turn our garage into an indoor farm market. Besides our fruits, vegetables and flowers we offer:
- jams and jellies
- pickles and relishes
- local honey- liquid, creamed, buckwheat, cinnamon, ginger, orange, raspberry
- beeswax votive candles
- pure maple syrup
- free range chicken
- corn fed Black Angus beef
- all beef pepperettes
- summer sausage
- Fiege's Gourmet Dressings
- In the fall, we also offer Indian corn and mini straw bales.
Summer on the farm is a busy time, with seed time and harvest overlapping. Multiple plantings of vegetables help keep a consistent supply of fresh produce coming into our market all summer. We are passionate about cleanliness and quality, hand harvesting produce daily. Insect and disease control products are chosen with care to protect our bee population, and use is kept to bare minimum. Raised beds take advantage of all available heat from the sun, and biodegradable "plastic" much keeps irrigation water at the root zone, and helps control weeds.
Involvement with the Elmira Produce Auction Coop, a cooperative of local farmers, allows us to sell our surplus lettuce and beans and buy produce we can't grow, such as peaches and blueberries, Check our availability list to see what's in season. Keep in mind that depending on the weather these dates can vary as much as two or three weeks.
