What's New

flower combination planting ideas

As of April 1, we are open! Regular hours are 9-7, six days a week. We are closed on Sunday.

The first two weeks of April are too early to plant- but that doesn't stop the avid gardener from scoping out what's new and exciting this year. Wander the aisles, bask in the bright light and smell the earthy scent of new growth!

By mid April, if your ground is dry and workable, the Vista Bubblegum petunia can be planted. Be sure to harden them off properly first, and only plant if the weather is summery and warm. In a few days, when they have settled in, cold and snow will not hurt them.

Our Farm

The Steckles' started farming as newlyweds in 1992, continuing their families’ tradition of agriculture. Gradually, their kitchen and flower gardens expanded, the hobby greenhouse was replaced by multiple larger ones, and the vegetable garden moved out of the back yard and into the farm fields.
